Trauma & PTSD therapy that moves at your pace

Trauma can change how safe the world feels — and how safe you feel in your own body. Whether you're carrying the weight of a single event or years of painful experiences, you don't have to carry it alone. Our trauma-informed therapists offer an authentic, nonjudgmental, brave, and safe space where healing happens on your timeline, not anyone else's. In person in Denver's Highlands, or online across Colorado.

Healing After Trauma

What happened to you matters — and so does what happens next

Trauma shows up differently for everyone. It might follow sexual violence, physical or emotional abuse, an accident, a frightening medical event, or a loss that turned your world upside down. It might look like flashbacks and nightmares, or like feeling constantly on edge, numb, disconnected, or unable to sleep. However it shows up for you, trauma is not a weakness and it is not your fault — it's your mind and body doing their best to protect you. In therapy, we work with you to rebuild a sense of safety first. We never push you to retell your story before you're ready. Together we build grounding skills, steady the nervous system, and move toward the harder work only when you feel prepared — at a pace you set and can change at any time.

Our Approach to Trauma Care

Our Approach to Trauma Care

Safety comes first

We start by building trust, stability, and grounding skills, so therapy itself feels like solid ground.

You set the pace

Client-paced means exactly that: you decide when to go deeper, when to slow down, and when to pause.

Whole-person, body included

Trauma lives in the body as well as the mind. Our team offers somatic approaches and breathwork alongside talk therapy.

Comfort, built in

Lola, our certified professional therapy dog, can join sessions to bring warmth and calm; Graham, our Bernese Mountain Dog in training, joins select sessions under supervision as part of his training — always your choice.

Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Who do you work with?

We work with individuals 8 years of age and older, couples, and families by providing a safe environment and guidance toward wellness.

Where will we meet for therapy? How does telehealth work?

We can meet in person at our Denver office, located conveniently in the Highlands area. Telehealth by SimplePractice is the technology service we use to conduct telehealth videoconferencing appointments. We will send an accessible link to your phone or email — all you need to do is get comfortable in a safe space, click the link, and join for a video meeting.

Do you accept Crime Victims Compensation?

Yes, we currently accept Crime Victims Compensation from Gilpin and Jefferson Counties.

Do you accept my insurance?

We currently do not accept any insurance; however, we provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Many of our clients go this route and it is easy to do.

How long are sessions?

We offer 50-minute sessions with an optional 30-minute add-on for an additional fee. We recommend clients attend sessions a minimum of once a week to start. Depending on the nature of your needs, meeting twice a week is a possibility. As you progress in therapy, we can move to bi-weekly or monthly maintenance sessions.
