Safety comes first
We start by building trust, stability, and grounding skills, so therapy itself feels like solid ground.
Trauma can change how safe the world feels — and how safe you feel in your own body. Whether you're carrying the weight of a single event or years of painful experiences, you don't have to carry it alone. Our trauma-informed therapists offer an authentic, nonjudgmental, brave, and safe space where healing happens on your timeline, not anyone else's. In person in Denver's Highlands, or online across Colorado.
Healing After Trauma
Trauma shows up differently for everyone. It might follow sexual violence, physical or emotional abuse, an accident, a frightening medical event, or a loss that turned your world upside down. It might look like flashbacks and nightmares, or like feeling constantly on edge, numb, disconnected, or unable to sleep. However it shows up for you, trauma is not a weakness and it is not your fault — it's your mind and body doing their best to protect you. In therapy, we work with you to rebuild a sense of safety first. We never push you to retell your story before you're ready. Together we build grounding skills, steady the nervous system, and move toward the harder work only when you feel prepared — at a pace you set and can change at any time.
Individual TherapyOur Approach to Trauma Care
We start by building trust, stability, and grounding skills, so therapy itself feels like solid ground.
Client-paced means exactly that: you decide when to go deeper, when to slow down, and when to pause.
Trauma lives in the body as well as the mind. Our team offers somatic approaches and breathwork alongside talk therapy.
Lola, our certified professional therapy dog, can join sessions to bring warmth and calm; Graham, our Bernese Mountain Dog in training, joins select sessions under supervision as part of his training — always your choice.
