What This Work Looks Like

A personalized path through the darkest moments

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health, and that is especially true here. Together, you and Hannah work to understand thoughts of suicide and the pain connected to them—at your pace, without judgment or stigma. Outpatient therapy may be worth exploring if you:

  • Experience thoughts of suicide, have previously attempted suicide, or live with persistent suicidal ideation that affects daily life.
  • Are navigating intense emotional pain, despair, or isolation and want compassionate support.
  • Want to develop safer ways of coping with life’s stressors and reconnect with hope or reasons for living.
  • Need a private, nonjudgmental space to speak openly about your fears, thoughts, and feelings.
  • Carry traumatic experiences or unresolved pain and want support understanding how those experiences affect you now.

During your consultation, Hannah will help assess whether this level of care is an appropriate fit and discuss other support when needed.

Evidence-Based, Deeply Human Care

Specialized care with Hannah

The specialized suicidality care described on this page is provided by Hannah Snider, LCSW, PMH-C—our owner and lead therapist. Hannah is certified in the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS), an evidence-based framework developed specifically for working with suicidal thoughts.

CAMS is collaborative: you and Hannah work side by side to understand what is driving your pain, identify what helps you stay safe, and build a treatment plan around the concerns that matter most to you. Hannah’s personal experiences with suicide loss are part of what led her to become a therapist. If it feels supportive and is clinically appropriate, Lola—our certified professional therapy dog—may also join in-person sessions.

What Therapy Can Offer

The potential benefits of therapy for suicidality

Care shaped around you

Your experiences, concerns, strengths, and goals guide the work. Treatment is collaborative and adjusted as your needs change.

A private environment

Sessions offer a confidential space, within legal and ethical limits, to talk honestly about thoughts that can be difficult to share elsewhere.

Specialized support

Hannah brings CAMS-informed assessment, collaborative safety planning, and compassionate clinical support to work focused on suicidality.

Collaborative goals

You and Hannah identify practical, attainable goals and revisit them together. Progress can include small, meaningful changes rather than a single finish line.

Deeper understanding

Therapy can help you explore thought patterns, emotional triggers, and the pain connected to suicidal ideation without reducing you to a diagnosis.

Strengths and connection

The work can help you recognize existing strengths, build coping options, and strengthen the people, values, and supports that matter to you.

Where will we meet? How does telehealth work?

How long are sessions?

Do you accept insurance?

We do not bill insurance directly. We can provide a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement, and Mentaya can assist with claim submission. We also accept HSA payments and Crime Victims Compensation from Gilpin and Jefferson Counties. Coverage and reimbursement are determined by your plan or program.
