What Is Chronic Pain or Illness Therapy?
Living with chronic pain or illness impacts more than just the body—it affects emotions, relationships, and daily life. Therapy for chronic pain and illness provides a space to process the unique challenges of living with ongoing health conditions. Some individuals come in with clear goals, like wanting to manage the stress that comes with flare-ups or adjusting to life changes after a diagnosis. Others may simply know that they feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck—and that’s okay.
Together, we start where you need us to. We work with you to better understand how your mind and body interact, to process grief or frustration that may come with health struggles, and to develop tools to cope with pain and uncertainty. Therapy can help foster resilience, provide strategies for navigating limitations, and support you in reconnecting with the parts of yourself that feel overshadowed by illness.
At Lola & Me Therapy, therapy is shaped by your needs and experiences. Our role is to listen with compassion, support your authenticity, gently challenge you when needed, and offer tools that help you live more fully—beyond the limitations pain or illness may place on your body.
