Tori's Story

A Colorado native, here to help you move forward

I was born and raised in the great state of Colorado. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, with minors in Public Health, Education, and Sociology, from the University of Colorado Boulder (Sko Buffs!).

After graduating, I lived briefly in Austin, Texas, where I began my work in mental health—until COVID-19 had different plans that led me back home, and back to school, to pursue my dream of becoming a therapist. I earned my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver, and since then I have trained in multiple treatment styles, including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, attachment work, Narrative Therapy, mindfulness, and practical tools for managing anxiety and depression.

I have always been passionate about helping others navigate life's challenges, which is what led me to a career in clinical mental health counseling. Through my work, I have found people to be incredibly resilient. I believe everyone has strengths, and I love empowering people to start making changes in their lives. I take a collaborative approach, partnering with my clients to create impactful goals and move forward on the journey toward healing.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy being outside, traveling, skiing, cooking, reading, and spending time with loved ones—including my pup, Ruby. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you on your path.

How Tori Works

Tori's approach & treatment styles

My approach is client-centered and tailored to each person's needs—a blend of traditional psychotherapy and evidence-based modalities. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health; we will find what works for you.

Narrative Therapy

Together we look at the stories you carry about yourself and your life, and work to re-author the ones that no longer serve you.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Build psychological flexibility so you can make room for difficult thoughts and feelings while still moving toward what matters most to you.

Attachment Work

Explore how early bonds shape the way you connect today, and practice new patterns of closeness, trust, and secure relationship.

Mindfulness

Simple, grounding practices that help you slow down, notice what is happening in the moment, and respond with intention instead of autopilot.
